| The 600W Proven wind turbine is the smallest wind turbine we manufacture. Standing at the same height as a telegraph pole this miniature can provide enough electricity to power lighting circuits in a standard 3-bed house in the UK. | The 2.5kW Proven wind turbine is the ideal wind turbine for powering a standard 3-bed house in the UK. The output almost matches typical demand of such a house (electrical appliances only, not electric heating) and can provide a little power for exporting in some cases. | |||||||||||
| More commonly however, the 600W is used by telecoms companies to feed power into batteries for telecoms repeater/booster stations and has been used by the MOD (Ministry of Defence), BT, Orange and T-Mobile. | Several hundred of these turbines and its predecessor have been successfully installed world-wide. | A 6kW turbine will give about 3 times more power than a 2.5kW wind turbine and therefore is better suited to a larger house or to someone who wants to generate an excess of electricity for exporting on to the national grid. | The most recent addition to the Proven Energy product range is the Proven 15. This larger size turbine is ideal for light industrial, light commercial and agricultural use. With this sort of power you can easily power about 6 or 7 typical 3-bed houses in the UK (depending on your wind resource of course). | |||||||||||
